Finished Rings
- Rings with a CA (cyanoacrylate) finish require little maintenance or precautions.
- While difficult, it is possible to scratch or scar the ring. If you are doing extreme manual work (with tools, etc.) you may want to remove the ring.
- Small scratches or dullness in the finish can be polished to a shine using plastic polish or car wax. Use with a cloth to polish to a desired shine.
- More extreme damages to the finish can often be removed by more aggressive sanding/polishing and/or applying new layers of finish. Contact me if this is needed.
- Wile extremely rare, allergies to some metals can happen. Stop wearing the ring should a rash appear.
Nature Wood Rings (unfinished)
- It’s recommended to remove the ring when washing hands, showering, bathing, or working around water. Exposure to water can damage the wood.
- If your ring is exposed to water, dry it completely as soon as possible. Brief exposure to water is little concern if dried quickly.
- It’s recommended to remove the ring when doing work that can scar the wood (gardening, working with tools, etc.).
- Apply a natural beeswax finish occasionally to protect the ring and to refresh the shine. A natural beeswax furniture polish will work fine. Polish with a cloth until a shine is achieved.
- Natural wood rings require some care and attention. If not properly cared for, damage can occur that is difficult or impossible to repair.
- While rare, allergies to woods can happen. Stop wearing the ring should a rash appear.
